This year our Whanau is participating in kapahaka. Most Kapahaka group starts with a Coral, an Entry followed by a Moteatea, an Action Song,Poi,Haka then an Exit. Kapahaka groups wear beautiful costumes with Maori designs and patterns.
This year we were allowed to choose our own topic. Most of the speeches were related to health. We had 2 students from our class who made it into the finals, that was held at Selwyn Primary. One of the students came 3rd equal, and the other student got a certificate for participation.
Whaea Te Arohanui, She is cool at times and she likes to push us in fitness. She has 2 children and a husband. She has been working at Kaitao for 6 years now. She sometimes likes to be funny and she is clever at Maths and other subjects.Her favourite hobby is eating food. MMMMMM YUMMY KAI !!!!
Kia ora koutou katoa, our motto is Kia Puawai i roto i te whanaungatanga a.k.a To Blossom within the family. Which means when we first come to Kaitao we are a seed, as we take in the knowledge provided we start to grow and bloom.
